Parents find support with Love To Dream Sleep Series

The Love to Dream team are constantly hearing from parents-to-be and new parents who are feeling confused, overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated over the huge amount of time spent searching for answers around their babies sleep patterns, why their baby won’t sleep, and what they can put in place to make their baby feel more settled and soothed.

The Love to Dream’s new Sleep Series, a new, free digital resource for parents, developed in conjunction with qualified paediatric health and sleep experts to support parents with routines, tips and advice from qualified professionals on how to get their baby to sleep. We’ve had heard a great success story from one mum who has seen a huge difference in her bub’s sleeping since she started using advice from the Sleep Series – and thought her story might provide other parents with reassurance that they are not alone, and help is out there!

One overwhelmed family, Thilini, her husband Charn, and baby Celeste, were in desperate need of support, when Celeste struggled with her sleep patterns during her first four months of life. Having moved to NSW from Sri Lanka2004, and having lived here cumulatively for 12 years, the family desperately needed some guidance around getting their daughter to settle, and weren’t sure where to turn.

Thilini was desperate for answers, and a trusted friend from her mother’s group recommended the Love To Dream Sleep Series as a resource with advice from qualified professionals. The Sleep Series provides insight into how babies sleep, tips for settling a baby including swaddling and self-soothing,  and practical information on laying foundations for healthy sleep patterns which is exactly what Thilini needed.

“The Sleep Series has been such a lifesaver for us. Not only does Celeste has a more stable sleep pattern and routine, it has allowed us to get some sanity back. One of my main worries was that we didn’t know if we were on the right track or doing something wrong, but The Sleep Series gave us that confidence and reassurance that we are doing the right thing.”.

“Our daughter feels so much more settled and is able to self-soothe, and she’s started sleeping over 6 hours at night! The Sleep Series has given us our life back, and we’re able spend some time with each other without feeling exasperated and exhausted. For now anyway!” says Thilini.

Thilini’s situation isn’t unique.

Specialist Paediatrician, Dr Jonny Taitz says, “Every week I’m seeing new parents who are struggling with their newborn’s sleep and in a lot of cases they don’t know where to go for the right information to help. The Love to Dream Sleep Series is a fantastic resource for new and expectant parents and will be an enormous help to parents experiencing or worrying about baby sleep issues.”
