As many mums would agree, sometimes juggling the kids at home and finding some time to workout can be challenging. Whether it’s school holidays, weekends or even lockdowns, finding some time to workout with your kids at home shouldn’t have to be as difficult as it seems. Here are 5 tips on how to workout while your kids are at home:
Convenient memberships
Finding fitness memberships can be difficult in itself with so many flooding the market. For mums, convenience is key especially while your family are all home. FLOE fit is a live membership with access to over 140 classes per week, some even only half an hour long making it the perfect, convenient and effective at home fitness membership on the market.
Communication
Communication has always been key. Whether it be with your partner or kids themselves letting your family know that you need 30 minutes once a day for some active time might just be the key to ensuring you can get this time to yourself! You might also be fortunate enough to have the support from your parents or in-laws who might be able to watch the kids for an hour or so a day while you workout.
Get them involved
Working out is not only great for you, but can also be a fun activity for the whole family to enjoy! Why not try finding some fun, kid friendly workouts such as running, skipping or even backyard yoga that you can involve the kids in whilst still undertaking an effective workout yourself!
Scheduling
Although some people don’t like to schedule their days, sometimes it may just be the answer to allowing yourself some personal time to workout. Whether this be a weekend, or school holidays, why not time the kids TV time or nap time accordingly to compliment some time for you to enjoy a quick workout from home.
Outdoors
The old trick in the book – taking the kids to the park might just be the perfect solution for you! Why not try walking the kids or bike riding down to your local park and whilst they play you can supervise and workout at the same time. Encouraging your kids to walk with you is also a great way to increase their physical activity too.
